DAO-ready governance for a real-world-asset platform

The governance workstream of our tokenization platform engagement: a structure designed to hand control to a DAO when the platform is ready, alongside a regulation-aware token economy.

The challenge

Real-world-asset tokenization sits at the intersection of financial regulation and on-chain governance. The platform needed a governance model that could start under team control and move to community control later, without a redesign.

What we built

A DAO-ready governance structure, designed alongside a token economy built with MiCA-readiness in mind, so control can be handed to a DAO when the platform is ready.

The result

The platform has a governance structure ready to hand control to a DAO, and a regulation-aware token design.

What DAO-ready governance has to guard against. The safeguards we design for. Each is grounded in a public incident or reference, named below.

Voting power fixed before the vote

Voting weight is recorded when a proposal opens, so power borrowed for a single transaction cannot pass it.

A timelock before execution

Approved changes wait before they run, giving holders time to react to a bad proposal.

Quorum and review periods

A minimum turnout and a review window before voting opens, so proposals cannot slip through quietly.

Progressive decentralization

Start with team control and a clear path to community control, instead of handing over everything on day one.
