Full stack AI platform for an insurance broker

The broker’s team relied on manual processing across multiple stages of the insurance workflow. Information had to be reviewed, extracted, structured and passed between teams before it could become an actionable quote or decision. As submission volumes increased, the manual workflow became increasingly difficult to scale.

A full-stack AI platform covering submission intake, document and information extraction, structured risk data, workflow automation, quote preparation, decision support, user workflows and enterprise integrations.

The platform turns unstructured insurance information into structured workflow data.

The AI layer handles interpretation. Deterministic application logic handles calculations, rules and workflow execution. This separation makes the system easier to test and control.

The project covered the complete product rather than an isolated AI feature. The platform included AI processing, backend services, a data layer, the user interface, workflow orchestration, authentication and access control, an integration layer, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Frontier AI models were evaluated against representative insurance workflows and selected based on the requirements of each task. The architecture was designed so that models could evolve without requiring the entire product to be rebuilt.

Insurance workflows involve sensitive customer and risk information. Data access, storage, processing and model boundaries were treated as part of the product architecture.

The platform gave the broker a scalable foundation for AI-assisted operations and accelerated the launch of its AI product.

The strongest insurance AI systems do not sit beside the workflow. They become part of it. The opportunity is to reduce the manual work between submission, analysis, decision and action.
